The competition is created, managed and judged by some of the world’s leading exponents of façade engineering and design and recognition through the FAÇADE competition is increasingly regarded as a serious and highly desirable accolade.

Built in 1865 Gibson Hall was designed by John Gibson who was known for his rich classic style. It was commissioned as part of a series of buildings by the National Provincial Bank of England – now NatWest – and was regarded as the finest of those built. In recognition of his work in 1890 the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) awarded Gibson its Gold Medal.
